Every citizen around the world should be guaranteed the right to access basic quality services. This need is more urgently felt for those who live in fragile areas where trust in government institutions is often minimal. In this series of films we present Results Based Financing a method that helps restore this trust by making institutions such as schools, hospitals and courts accountable for their performances, as it links payments to results.
DOCUMENTING TRUST IN INSTITUTIONS
Films to present Results Based Financing: an approach to strengthen governance
Visual Development has produced several video's for us about Cordaid education projects in the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In particular we liked their thorough preparation and timely delivery of products. However, also the feel and look of the products were highly appreciated.

The videos are very useful and powerful tools. Portraying a general picture of the program, its key achievements and lessons learned by the different actors engaged is essential. We use these presentations on all levels.

The quality of the video Visual Development produced was very satisfactory and we use both versions in English and French. One appealing aspect is the fact that this short film shows the beauty of Central African Republic and DRCongo landscapes and the charm of the people. At the same time, there is a subtle but clear visualization of the challenges faced by health staff. The film lets the viewer see for himself how poor the infrastructure is.
